B.S.B.A., John Carroll University
M.A., Ursuline College
Hi my name is Lori Seidel and I am the Kindergarten teacher at Our Lady of the Lake School. I am in my thirteenth year of teaching here, spending twelve years in Kindergarten and one year in Grade 2. I have a BSBA in Marketing from John Carroll University and a Master in Early Childhood Education from Ursuline College. I have been married to my husband, John Seidel, for 32 years. John and I have been members of Holy Cross/Our Lady of the Lake parish for 31 years. We have two adult sons who both attended Holy Cross/Our Lady of the Lake School from Kindergarten through Grade 8.
I am a vocalist/cantor and a member of the Contemporary Music Group at liturgies. I currently serve as the Treasurer of the Life on the Lake Fundraising Committee. Before my employment here as a teacher, I have served as the Director of the Children’s Choir and as a Lunch Monitor. My hobbies include singing, playing and teaching piano, knitting, sewing, and theatre.
As a stay at home mom, I was able to volunteer time in the classroom and I quickly developed a desire to become a licensed educator. While my boys were still young, I attended graduate school and was very fortunate to be offered a job at the same Catholic school I loved as a parent – Our Lady of the Lake! I believe that all children should feel welcome in a learning community that achieves intellectual, spiritual, and social growth using 21st century methods and technology, encouraging the creativity of each individual. As a former parent and as current faculty member, I support the benefits of attending a Catholic school and am dedicated to the continued success of Our Lady of the Lake.
