“Our greatest natural resource is the minds of our children.” Walter Elias Disney

My name is Karen Rossman and I am the 5/6 grade reading teacher and fifth grade math teacher at Our Lady of the Lake School. I also teach religion and spelling to the sixth grade. In my twenty-three years of teaching, all at Holy Cross/Our Lady of the Lake, I have had the pleasure of teaching 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, and 8 grades. My desire to become a teacher was in large part due to my sixth grade teacher, Sister Jeannette. She had such a positive impact on my life, as I too, hope to have on my students.

I started my Catholic school education at Holy Cross, attended Villa Angela Academy, graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Science in Education and have taken classes towards a master’s degree in special education at Notre Dame College. I have resided in Euclid and have been a parishioner of Holy Cross/Our Lady of the Lake my entire life. I have four children, two teachers, two accountants. I also have two grandsons, Johnny is in the fourth grade at Our Lady of the Lake and Cory is two.   I love dogs and have a seven year old Gordon Setter, named Ralphie. In my free time I enjoy reading and spending time with my family.
