6th, 7th and 8th Grade Spanish
Fordham University Graduate School of Education, MS
College of the Holy Cross, BA Spanish Language and Literature
¡Hola a todos! I am the Spanish teacher at OLL. I am a Cleveland area native and began studying Spanish as a high school student. From there, I studied Spanish Language and Literature at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. I spent my junior year of college abroad in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, lived with a host family and attended Universitat de les Illes Balears. Previous to teaching, I worked as a Spanish language interpreter and Bilingual Family Therapist. I have been teaching Spanish for four years now, with three of those four at OLL.
I find foreign language and culture study exciting and love sharing that with my eager students! In our class, I aim to challenge students to broaden their perspectives while expanding their communication skills. Here at OLL, I truly value the sense of community on all levels; I appreciate the students’ energy as well as the the support of my colleagues and students’ parents.
In my free time, I enjoy reading fiction, listening to podcasts, spending time with family and friends, lifting weights and running. I am currently training for the Cleveland Marathon this upcoming May.
